Install an exhaust fan with a motorized intake shutter controlled by a thermostat to better control the heat in your greenhouse in the summer months. We advise that you either have a door or window open or install a shutter (see below) so you dont just create a vacuum inside. Install the fan up high where the temperature is higher and place the thermostat at plant height. The fan should pull out the total cubic ft of air in your greenhouse within a few minutes in order to maintain your temperature setting

To help your fan function properly install the motorized intake shutter down low on the north or shady side of the greenhouse. Connect the power so that when the thermostat turns the fan on it also opens the shutter. When the fan turns on it will draw cool air in through the shutter. When the fan shuts off, the shutter will also close. You can also wire the shutter to its own separate thermostat and set this at a cooler temperature to have it come on earlier for fresh air during the day.

To help your fan and shutter function automatically, install the thermostat between the power source and fan like a switch. You can choose the temperature at which you wish to keep your greenhouse. The fan will turn on if the temperature is too hot and will shut off when the greenhouse is cooled down to the temperature you selected. There is nothing to worry about if you have one of these working for you.
